It has been 2 years since we have been working on Havi. Following is the essay I have written on the very first web page of havi. It stayed on the home page for a few months and as we built website further, it got moved to the career page.

We have decided to move it from the career page and convert this into a blog post just so anyone can refer the “Journey that led to Havi”.

The journey that led to Havi

Hi, I am Prashant Mamtora, an entrepreneur for 15 years, in fact since the beginning of my career. I have built 2 companies in between. The first one, “Indies Services” got closed down eventually and I successfully exited out of my second company “Milople”. The only reason for me giving up control of Milople was that it was going into the direction of being a fantastic B2B services company while I am always interested in Products. So it was a better decision to let someone run the company who believes in that model.

After exiting out of Milople somewhere in 2019, the first question for me was “What to do now”. In the quest of answering the question, I went through a lot of emotional ups and downs. That was not an easy time to live. I am thankful to my family, mentors, and some of the teammates of Milople. Thanks to Monisha, my colleague from Milople who preferred to work with me building the new startup, Havi.

This world will have a population of around 10 billion by 2050, just 3 decades from now as I am starting this in January-20. How will we feed these many people? What work will they be doing? What would be the status of the environment? How will they transport and travel? What does that generation need to learn in order to live in the second half of the 21st century?

I aim to build some products and solutions that solve at least some of these problems and make life easy, sustainable and fun for masses.

I know challenges are huge and I am just a small earthen lamp. But If we team up, we can do this. We want to build a technology company for the 21st century and not a next “something” from past. Let’s work together if you also want to do that.
