12-year-old Manvi came back home after giving exams. Manvi in general is a bright student and spends a good amount of time learning her subjects every day. She was happy overall with her performance in the paper but was skeptical about one of the questions she answered.

Manvi took the phone and opened ChatGPT. She scanned the question paper and fed it to the GenAI engine. The bot instantly replied with the answer, Manvi got her doubt cleared.

But Mitthu was not very happy with that. What did you do? he asked Manvi.

Oh I was not very sure about a question so I asked the Bot. Manvi replied.

That’s how you use it? Did you know that’s the recipe to kill your brain? Mitthu was harsh but confident in his words.

Then? What? How do I? Manvi was not sure what to say.

See Manvi, There are several GenAI bots such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Meta AI, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity, Krutrim and several others. But all of them should be used to serve us and make us better, not weaker and dumber. Mitthu started explaining.

The right way in this case was to go through books and study material and dig the answer out. That builds your mental muscle and keeps you prepared for future problems. By asking the bot, you saved your time but repeated action will kill your ability to find anything yourself. You want to have that?

Not at all – Manvi replied instantly.

Then go through the hustle and know how to use Gen AI bots to make yourself better and smarter.

How do I? It’s true. Many of my friends are increasingly using bots to solve their homework problems, exam preparations and everything else. And if that is going to make us dumber, how should we use GenAI to make us better and smarter?

Use Chat GPT as a question engine and not an answer engine. – Mitthu replied mysteriously.

What’s that? asked Manvi.
